Steps
Hold the ball in your right or left hand.
Hold the ball behind your head with your hand turned out, creating an L-shape with your arm.
Step your right foot forward, facing the inside of your foot out.
Hold your wrist parallel to your chest as if you were checking your watch, and point your elbow at the target.
Using your right foot for power, step off of it to bring your left foot in front.
Twist the upper half of your body, letting go of the ball at about shoulder height.
Follow through so your right hand meets your left hip.
Tips
It is easier to watch someone do it and try to imitate them, than to follow written instructions.
You can point your glove at the target instead of your elbow.
This is written for right-handed people. If you throw with your left hand, do everything with the opposite hand.
Warnings
Don't keep your hand at your shoulder. This is known as the "chicken arm" effect.
Make sure to not use too big a ball . You lose control. A hand five inches across at the palm should have a 11" or below ball.
Don't make your "target" a window.
